Happy Thursday! No chippy intro this week because I have some real fun stuff to show you.
OK, that was a lie. Besides the stuff I found this week, I want to highlight Plan B. It's on Hulu, it's the directing debut of the fabulous Natalie Morales and it's just plain great. Two friends on a long night trying to get the plan B pill in South Dakota, and it's borth harrowing about the subject and also funny as hell as a One Big Night movie. It's really, really good.

A sequel of sorts, as Miller and Shales also did an excellent oral history of Saturday Night Live a few years back. ESPN is a weird institution these days, noth breaking the news and making the news, and I am very curious to read about the history of how it became what it is now.
But in the meantime, let's enjoy 30 minutes of the very first day of ESPN. My goodness, not even an on-screen score.

You know what? I know this is a season 3 disc. But I'm not gonna describe this fantastic show at all. I'm just going to give you this season 1 trailer and let you discover Tatiana Maslany on your own.
All 5 seasons are available in the US on Prime, BBC America and AMC streaming because it's one of those weird co-productions. Seriously, check it out.

For whatever reason, this movie has been haunting me for a couple of weeks A few people mentioned it on facebook, YouTube brought up the trailer and then I ran across it at a thrift store. So, I guess I need to check out this Canadian movie starring a pre-Coyote Ugly Piper Perabo, a pre-O.C. Mischa Barton and a pre-Mad Men Jessica Pare. There are a lot of good reviews for it and I'm really curious to check it out.
Lost and Delirious is available for rent and buying at the usual places, and is included in your HBO Max subscription.

So sue me, we all know the first season of Star Trek: The Next Generation is rough. Hell, the second season is rough (part of the problem in production being the 1988 WGA strike). But to hell with it, I should have the second best Star Trek series* in a physical format. I was 14 when this series started and it was the first real first-run Star Trek I encountered and god, it had me hooked. And god, what a way to encounter this series of actors for the first time.
Oh, sorry, not all of them. Because my family loved Night Court, and we all loved whenever Brent Spiner would show up as Bob, the world's' weirdest Yugoslavian.
Also, Brent Spiner is one of those actors who has been in a little bit of everything. His Random Roles ia a much-read.
